Job Summary
To contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the business by providing technical underwriting support to the operational teams as well as assisting with managing the relationship between insurers and brokers.
Main Duties
- Complex case underwriting and a technical referral point for internal H & L staff. - Liaising with brokers and insurers on complex cases underwriting - Ensuring quality and compliance of underwriting documentation as well as the technical contents of marketing and sales literature. - Auditing/quality control of operational processes. - Providing technical/underwriting staff training. - Providing technical/underwriting broker training. - Assisting with management of panel insurer relationships. - Assisting with product development (new and existing). - Product analysis
Technical Skills
- Good market awareness of High Net Worth insurance. - Credible experience in a Household underwriting or senior broking role required. - Excellent literacy and numeric skills essential. - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook . Experience - Extensive Personal Lines broking/underwriting experience in High Net Worth Household insurance. -
Qualifications
- Grade ‘C’ GCSE in Maths and English required. - CII qualified or working towards an advantage Personal Attributes - Flexible and professional approach. - Proactive with strong ability to manage own workload and set priorities. - Confident, self motivated individual, able to work on their own or as part of a team. - Good communicator and sound decision maker - Committed to personal development. Language Skills - Excellent written and verbal English a requirement.
